Modern Kazakhstan and the Path to Europe 13.05.2009    
 

The State programme the “Path to Europe” represents bringing Kazakhstan up to strategic partnership with the leading European countries.
 
On May 21-22, 2009 Majilis (the Lower Chamber) of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will conduct International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Kazakhstan and “Path to Europe”.
 
The mission of the Conference is familiarization of representatives of the international society with Kazakhstan’s contemporary achievements in building the society and policies, development of democracy and Kazakhstan’s further prospects in the context of the OSCE chairmanship in 2010.
 
Projected participants of the Conference are delegations of the European Parliament, the European Union, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Council of Europe, NATO, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eurasian Economic Community, as well as representatives of the Parliaments of Russia, Bulgaria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, the USA, Great Britain, Greece, Lithuania, France, Turkey, China, Austria, Germany, Spain and well-known political figures and experts.
